Hi Rosemary, since I last wrote to you things have moved along quite quickly. First of all let me tell you that we are related. I have been collecting loads of info. from St. Catherine's House Index, from the censuses, directories & certificates that I have had to buy.

When it was put together I have got 'our' family line back to about 1770's & it is by no means finished. If you write to me at [email protected] & give me your address I will send you a package with all the info & family tree that I have to date.

Breifly your grandfather Joseph H. was born in 1866, Newcastle but I do not know who he married. (do you know?)

His father was another Joseph H. born 1843 & married a Rosanna ? but have not found the marriage date yet. (more help please)

His father was Joseph Ladzari born 1817 & married Mary Ann Donnelly in 1841. They had 7 children altogether, my great, great, grandmother Alice being one of them, & Joseph H. another. They lived on a road called Sallyport & is still there.

Joseph's father was Paul Anthony Ladzari born about 1770-1780 & married Sarah Matley in Manchester Cathedral on the 6th August 1800. Paul did fancy plaster work ceilings & had a business on High Bridge from 1828 - 1838 (thats the name of the street).

Where he is from & when he was born I have no idea. There is an Angelo Ladzari marries in Lancashire & moves to Newcastle about the same time as Paul (1801) & may be related but I have no proof. But it is still early days yet.

I have put together a large database containing names, birth dates, baptism dates, addresses & other info. & will send you the info when you write.

I hope this has whetted your appertite & that you write soon.

Best regards,Kathy
