Enlisted on 10/17/1861 at Cherry Creek, NY as a Private. On 10/17/1861 he mustered into "H" Co. NY 76th Infantry
He died of disease on 6/8/1862 at Washington, DC.
p.s.Could Leaning be a spelling variation of Learning?I don't think he was my ancestor.
