Re: Sarah Leathers & William Webb Or. Co. VA
Sally was a nickname used for Sarah so I assume it was Sarah. Here is what I have:
Orange Co. VA Marriage Records 13 January 1785. Date refers to the date of the marriage bond. William Webb and Sarah Leathers, dau. of John Leathers who consents. Sur. John Adkins. In St. Thomas Parish. p.14
27 January 1798. William Webb and Margaret Atkins, who writes her consent. Sur. Caleb Webb. p. 46 (I don't know for sure if this is the William who had previously married Sarah Leathers as there were two William Webb's in Orange Co.)
Orange County VA Will Abstracts 1778-1821 Pub 1985
Ruth L. and Sam SparacioBook 5 p. 255-256

List of descendants:....James Webb dead left no descendants....
Nathe Webb dead left no descendants...
Garland Webb dead left children unknown
Notes from another list:
James Webb dead no heirs
Nathl Webb dead no heirs
Garland Webb dead leaving heirs
subpoena Conway C. Macon late sheriff..etc.."the representatives of James Webb and Nathl Webb and the children of Garland Webb deceased to appear at the Clerks office of our circuit superior court of Law and chancery for Orange County on the first morning in July next answer bill exhibited by Joseph Hiden 9 June 1845."...No inhabitants...
I assume from the no inhabitants the children were no longer living in Orange Co. The researcher I had did not cover all the bits and pieces of papers in the Hiden vs Leathers suit so I don't know if their addresses were revealed or not. Are you a descendant of Garland Webb?
