Re: Joseph Leaver and Heloise Tribout
I may have a connection.I am a descentant of Victor Tribout whom I suspect is Heloise Tribout's older brother. My wife's cousin found Victor Tribout in 1880 living in West Hoboken, Hudson, NJ - census, page 427B, National archives film T9-0785
August Role, age 61, born France - house carpenter
Mary Role, wife, age 61, born France
Henry Chanaud, grandson, age 16 born New York, both parents born France
Lisette Chanaud, granddaughter, age 11, born New Jersey, parents born France
Leon Chanaud, grandson, age 8, born New Jersey, parents born France,
Heloise Tribout, granddaughter, age 11, born New York, parents born France
Victor Tribout, grandson, age 14, born New York, parents born France - works silk factory
Looks like Victor and Heloise's mother's last name was Role.
Also, Census Index: U.S. Selected States/Counties, 1860
Rohl, A. State : NY
County : New York Co.
Location : 4 W. Nyc Dist. 3
Year : 1860
Page # : 670
A. Rohl, born France age 42
Maria Rohl, age 42, born France
Eliza Rohl, age 17, born France
Ellen Rohl, age 14, born France
This needs to be proven but we think this is Victor's and Heloise's grandfather and possible mother in the grouping. If this is the correct August Role, my guess is that Eliza married a Chanaud and Ellen married a Tribout- this is a supposition based on the ages of the two girls in 1860 and the ages of the grandchildren in 1880.
I haven't found any information of the father, only the mother and maternal grandparents.I can provide descendant for Victor to present but have no information of Heloise.
