STROKE FATAL TO MRS. LEAVER.Stricken Suddenly During Night.
Deceased Passes Away Before Family Can Summon Doctor.Suddenly
stricken, Mrs. Eloise Leaver, mother of Leonard Leaver, vice-president
of the Union City Board of Education, died at her home. 256 Hudson
Avenue, Union City, early yesterday morning following a stroke.She
was 58 years old.Apparently in the best of health Saturday evening
when she retired, Mrs. Leaver was found dying at 3 a.m. by her son who
was awakened by the sound of his mother's forced breathing.She
succumbed before medical aid could be secured.Her husband, Joseph
Leaver, custodian of Public School No. 5, away in Toms River for his
health, was called home immediately and arrived yesterday afternoon.
Mrs. Leaver was well known in the West Hoboken section of Union City,
having resided in that town since childhood when she came here... [rest of article missing].
