Need help with the strange mystery of Thomas Lee
My ancestor is a fellow by the name of Thomas Lee. There is a page dedicated to him at the following site
There are several theories as to where he came from.
The theory I learned growing up is as follows"
"His father ran away from his family in Kentucky after learning the government was after him for killing a man. He started a new family in Deleware. He had six children, He then found out he was not wanted for the murder after all and left his new family and moved back to Kentucky. His children were farmed out to the farmers in the community and my ancestor happened to land with an Amish guy."
Does anyone have a strange story that might match up with this, either from Delaware or PA or Kentucky or Tennessee? My ancestor was born in 1816. According to recent research his father may also have been Thomas Lee.
