LOOKING FOR DESCENDANTS of this soldier!

Research is being gathered about Waverly, Pa's fugitive-slave population and black Civil War soldiers.

Richard Lee was hospitalized with an injury sustained while carrying timber July 2, 1864, at Barrancas, Fla.His draft papers of Oct 19, 1863, list him as age 32, a laborer, born in MD (possible Underground RR fugitive).Accord'g to the 1870 Waverly, PA census, he was md. to a woman named Adeline, born in VA in 1830, and they had a son Lloyd (or Floyd) in 1862. Undetermined date of death; buried at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
