I haven't gotten real involved with my Lefever ancestry to know exactly what I'm talking about.But, if your Jane Lefever was from Belmont County she probably is a descendant of Campbell Lefever and Jean Girt.Campbell was from Westmoreland County Pa.And was my Gr.Gr.Gr.Gr. Grandfather.He was a private in the Westmoreland County Militia.My Gr.Gr.Gr. Grandfather William Merrick married Jane Lefever(Campbell's Daughter)Dec. 21, 1809 in Belmont County.After a short period of time living in Pa. they later moved to West Township, Columbiana County, Ohio. Campbell Lefever and Jean Girt may have had 9 children: William*1787, Jane*2-27-1788, *Isaac*1789, Mary*1791, Margaret*1793-1794, John*1795-1801?, Myndrot*1797, Campbell*1799, and Priscilla*1805.
