Augustin Leger and Marguerite Chayer- St. Clement Beauharnois
Hello
I am looking for any information on the descending families of Augustin Leger and Marguerite Chayer. This couple married on 13 Jun 1836 in St. Clement Beauharnois, Quebec. They had 5 children (that I am able to find in the records for that parish): Virginie, Marie Octavie, Marguerite, Emilie and Appoline. They also had one son, Augustin, whose record is not found at St. Clement but his marriage record to Eleanor Walsh shows that his parents were Augustin Leger and Marguerite Chayer.
Augustin Leger and Eleanor Walsh were married in St. Malachie in Ormstown parish and had 2 children, Guillaume (b.1864) and Patrick (b.1867), in the same parish.I am not able to find any record of this family after these dates (which would include death records, marriage records of children, and the Canadian census).Augustins siblings seemed to have remained in the Beauharnois area.It is possible that they relocated to the U.S. since Eleanor Walsh's siblings (Peter, Patrick & Mary Ann)did also. However, I am not able to find them.
If you have any information on this family, please contact me at [email protected]
Thank you,
Jamie
