Realizing that some information on this family has been posted quite a while ago.
I am interested in Julian Oswald Lemieux, born 9 June 1902, Fargo, Cass County, North Dakota, to Julian Lemieux and Etta May Hall.Julian Oswald Lemieux is found in the following censuses, called Oswald:1910, a boy of nine, living with Carl and Pearl Haupt in Chicago, Illinois, called "stepson;" 1920, living with his uncles Charles and Albert Hall in Chicago; 1930, with wife Grace in Chicago.Julian Oswald Lemieux died 25 March 1979 in Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio.
His father Julian is somewhat of a mystery.Apparently he was married about 1897 to Etta May Hall.Etta May Hall was born 18 March 1874 in Chicago to Charles and Alma (Almira) Hall.In 1900, Julian (born March 1864, Quebec) is enumerated with his parents Julian and Margarite in Little Falls, Morrison Co., Minnesota. He states he has been married 3 years but there is no wife present.I cannot locate Etta in 1900.Etta died about the time of Julian Oswald's birth in 1902.I don't have any further information about her.Apparently Julian married a woman named Pearl shortly afterwards, then divorced, and it is this Pearl who is in the 1910 census, Chicago, with step-son Oswald. Lastly, Julian married Selma Langer in Fargo, North Dakota in 1907.They had three daughters, Marguerite, Josephine and Marcella.Julian continued living in Fargo through 1920.
Julian Oswald Lemieux is living in Fargo in 1918, when his grandfather Charles Hall died in Chicago.Etta May Lemeiux is deceased at the time of this obituary.
