After attending a funeral for my grandfather's sister's funeral in Alabama-I was given a picture and a bible record, published on Sept. 2, 1960, by Rev. Ralph Reid.(obituary from Pisgah, Al)He did in fact pass at 128, and also married for a second time at the Atlanta state fair at the age of 120.He traveled (with his new bride) four years with the Big-Show as the oldest married living couple in the world. He retired, and lived four years longer. He was very temperate, never ate anything so hot it needed blowing, or anything so cold as to chill his teeth.Never used "beverages"? (I guess alcohol or spirits at that time, referred to as beverages) but chewed tobacco since early man-hood.He cut a full set of teeth after he was ninety years old.
*This bible record was left by Mrs. S.F. Hooton from Gadsden, Al.who lived to be ninety-four.Mrs. Hooton is the older sister of Martha Harrison.(My grandfather is James lindel Harrison) still living.
