Elizabeth:My grandfather was James Leonard Levan and his parents were Henry and Elender Levan of Grundy Co, TN. Do you know the maiden name of Elender? I can't find any record of her name. James Leonard Levan's wife was Melvina Lane or Layne and they had eight children: Frances (aunt Fannie) Enochs, Virginia Belle Oakley (my grandmother), Rose Ella Levan (never married), Edward (never married, Laura (died in childhood), james Leonard (Uncle Jim-never married),Lillian Castleberry (Aunt Lil),stella Blythe (no children) and Sarah (aunt Sally) Wiseman.
