This is the will of William Leverett who has the son Burrell.I am of this line through William's daughter Asena/Asenath.This is obviously a different line than your William's line.
The Leveretts are very confusing to me.Some of the posted family trees seem to contradict each other, and it's hard to pin down information and be **sure** of it.
Will of William Leveritt (sic) 06 Jan 1812 Putnam County, G a In the name of GOD, amen.
I William Leveritt of the County of Putnam & State of Georg ia being very sick & weak in body but of sound & perfect mi nd & memory thanks be to GOD. Calling to mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, I do make & ordain this my Last will & testamen t that is to say principally & first of all I give & recomm end my Soul into hand of ALMIGHTY GOD that gave it & my Body I recommend to the Earth to buried in a decent burial a t the discretion of my Executors and as tuching (?) such worldly estate where with it has pleased God to bless me wit h in this Life. I give devise & dispose of the same in the following manner & form - - -
First of all I give & bequeath to my beloved wife all my property both real & personal to hold posses & enjoy the same fully & quietly for & during her widowhood or until youngest child comes of age & if it should so happen that she should marry then it is my express wish to have all my proper ty equally divided between my beloved wife & children namely Catherine Leveritt, John Leveritt, Burrel Leveritt, Letitia Leveritt, Buckner Leveritt, Luscinda Leveritt, Asena Leveritt, Telbitha Leveritt and lastly I do ordain constitute & appoint Joseph White, Celia Leveritt & Ranaal Robinso n my sole executors of this my last Will & Testament, and I hereby utterly disallow revoke & all and every other former testament wills.
Executors by me in anywise before named & bequeathed ratify ing & confirming This & no other to be my will and testamen t in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal
