Dear Connie, I suspect that my previous message was very confusing. You clearly identified George as a Lewis, but I had it in my head that this was George Henry, so I really got off track in my response.I apologize.Your follow-up helped me get straight. From what I have gathered, mostly from on-line sources which do not contain much documentation, George Lewis b. 8 Jan 1762 d. 7 Apr 1827 m. 18 Dec 1786 Leah Viney b. 21 Nov 1769 d. 25 Jun 1858 (most of that is from FamilySearch Pedigree Resource File).I show that they had 12 children.Among them was your Harvey although I had a birth date of 13 Jan 1802 for him and a death date of 15 May 1874.I did have the 29 Sep 1842 marriage date and Eliza Flannagan as his spouse, but nothing more on them.Harvey had 4 sisters - Sarah, Viney, Atarah, and Leah.Atarah is my direct line. She was born 9 Jan 1807 probably in WV, but her descendants listed her birthplace as VA, PA, and Ireland. She married 12 Apr 1826 Samuel Henry (Bible records).Samuel was born in Ireland 3 Aug 1798, arrived in the US in 1816, moved to IN (but apparently went to WV to marry), and settled in Hancock Co., IN.He died 3 Mar 1883 and is buried in the Mt. Carmel Cem., Hancock Co., IN.Atarah died 12 Jan 1853 giving birth to their 12th child. She is also buried in the Mt. Carmel Cem.Atarah had a sister named Leah who was born 9 Jan 1811 d. 11 Oct 1861 in Pendleton, Madison Co., IN.She is buried in the Grove Lawn Cem. there. She married about 17 Aug 1831 George Henry, who was one of Samuel Henry's brothers.George Henry was born 3 Mar 1804 in Ireland d. 1857 Madison Co., IN buried Grove Lawn Cem.They had 8 children, but I think only 4 survived to adulthood. As far as I can tell, the Henrys arrived in America in 1816 and were in southern IN in 1820.Part of the problem in tracking Samuel Henry is that his father was also named Samuel Henry, so it's hard to sort father from son.I think they may have spent some time in WV before moving to IN, but I can't be sure of that. All the same, there is a notation in the family Bible that Samuel married Atarah in Greenbrier Co., WV.They were in Hancock Co., IN by 1840.The 1850 census of Hancock Co., IN shows that Samuel and Attra's first 6 children were born in VA.Their 7th child was born in 1838 in IN.I think that George Henry also married Leah Lewis in WV, but I have no proof of that.Let me take another look at what I can find on this and get back to you.As I said, I have not worked on this Henry-Lewis branch for quite some time, so I have some catching up to do.Thanks for posting the info. on Harvey and your line.Maybe others who are more clear-headed than I am will be able to fill in more of the gaps.
