Jessie & Lucy Lewis, 1840-70, AL

Jessie and Lucy are my g.g.grandparents. I found them in Dale Co., AL in 1840; in Coffee Co. AL in 1850.Then in 1860, Jessie is in jail for murder in Coosa Co., AL, Lucy listed in Mobile at this time. Later in 1870, they are listed together in Mobile, AL. One of their children, Mary Lucy Jane (my g.grandmother), married Francis Roundtree Williams in 1870.Help! I would love to know more about this story. Pauline Barrow
