Wayne:Rebecca was the d/o Abel & Mary Davis who are my G4 grandparents. Her brother John, m. Mary E. "Isabella" Newland about 1818 just prior to the big move to Chamapign Co., OH.They are my g3 grandparents. To the best of my knowledge all children of Abel & Mary including their husbands & wives followed Abel to OH.One exception was Mary Davis, b. 1790 who m. Enoch Current 2 Apr 1807 and d. in Taylor Co., WV 30 Aug 1859. IN 1835 the FAMILY moved to White Co., IN.The 1850 census of White Co. included Abel Luzader, age 32 living alone. Abel is probably the son of Andrew & Rebecca, b. 1814. He was also counted with Elizabeth Smith, age 53, b. VA showing his age as 31 b. in OH. Also included was James Luzader, age 8,living with Thomas Taylor; Franc Luzader, age 9, living with Hugh Fuel.He may have been counted twice as I see his name with John & Elizabeth.I will check again for the surname.Merit H. Luzader, age 2, was found in the home of Philip Davis, brother of Rebecca & John Davis.I believe that Abel Luzader m. May Baily / Bailey. Can you verify?
From a Muster Roll of Capt. James Hervey's company form Monongalia & Brooke Counties in service at Norfold in 1814. Privates included Andrew LUZADER. Spelling of the surname has changed over time. Also included is a Jacob Swisher who may be a member of the extended DAvis family.
I think I also recall seeing a Faris in your family.David & Charity Faris of Berkeley Co., VA are my G5 grandparents.
