Re: John Conrad Lickey
Thank you for your response.I am not aware of the map but I do know where the Lickey land was located.I have visited "Stony Lonesome" many times and have visted the library you mentioned. John Conrad Lickey also also had an orchard along with the mill.He made peach and apple brandy.I suspect that the Willowcroft Winery is located on part of the original tract.I have heard that the brick home just across the road from Stony Lonesome, owned at one time by Dr. Eaton, purchased part of the original.I have also heard that the Eaton family was somehow related to Conrad Lickey although I have never found the proof. At this date, we have never found the burial site of John Conrad Lickey and his wife Margaret.Neither have we found a marriage record and do not know Margaret's maiden name. From old Bible records, we do know that Corand's parents were William and Margaret(still no maiden name) Lickey.
I have searched for the burial place to no avail.I believe they might have been buried on the property or maybe the old Baptish Curch Cemetery without a stone. This is hard to belive there was no stone because all the other Lickeys have stones and Conrad was of wealth. Thanks again for your help.
