Here's what I know about the Weedy side:
George Hudson Weedy 1781-1842
married Mary Fell/Fail (b 1786-d?)
Eleven children, all born Alwick:
Eleanor, b 1803 m George Liddle
Diana/Dinah b 1805 m James Skelley
Mary 1 b 1807
Mary 2 b 1809
Ann b 1812
James b between 1819-1821 Alnwick, Northumberland
William b 1822 m Sarah Wilkinson 1843
George b 1824 d 1912 m Jane Colver about 1845
Robert b 1831 d abt 1847
Henry b 1836 m Mary Robinson
Since I don't have a death date for Mary Fell/Fail, I am suspicious that these last 3-4 children may be by a 2nd
wife.
Eleanor Weedy and George Widdle had three children (according to Colin Carr's family tree):
George, b 1826; William, b 1828; and Margery, b 1833.
George Hudson Weedy was son of George Weedy & Dinah Hudson who were married 3 July 1775, Lesbury, Northumberland, England.Dinah was daughter of William Hudson.
George and Dinah had another son, Thomas, who married Jane Thompson.
My husband's ancestor, James Weedy, died in 1904 and is buried at St. James Church, Burnhopfield, Durham. He had married Jane Dowsey on 11 March 1843.She died in 1882.
He was living with his daughter & family (Mary & John Nevins) in 1891 and 1901 Censuses
I find Eleanor Liddle in 1881 Census also living in Burnhopfield, and very near her niece Elizabeth Weedy
Fenwick (another daughter of James).
The Wood family also were coal miners and moved around
Durham Co. many times.
I'll go back through my scattered notes and see if I can add any more details.
