I've been looking at the Samuel Liggett and Hannah Bryan marriage in Rockingham County, Virginia because of the Bryan connection rather than the Liggett connect.Hannah surely was one of mine, but I cannot figure out how she would have fit into the family.
There was another Hannah Bryan in Rockingham County at the same time, namely Hannah Bryan who married Samuel Moffett was the daughter of Major William Bryan. The two Hannah Bryans appear to have been about the same age and most likely they were first cousins. However, I cannot figure out which of Major William Bryan's brothers might have been the father of the Hannah Bryan who married Samuel Liggett.
Hannah Bryan and Samuel Liggett appear to have been living in the household of Jacob Liggett in the 1820 census, and I understand that Jacob was Samuel's father (this is not my line, so I'm relying on Liggett researchers for this information).Hannah Bryan and Samuel Liggett were enumerated in their own household in the 1830 census, and I lose track of them after that.
The Hannah Ligget in the 1850 census in Indiana that you cite appears to have been Hannah Collins who married Joseph Liggett rather than Hannah Bryan who married Samuel Liggett.
