If you want to visit the Lindsay's earlist home, that we know of, the town of Alost in Belgium should be on your list.I did a couple of years ago.This families 1st cousin married William of Normandy, and several members joined Williams invasion force.They brought ships of their own to suppliment Williams fleet.That's how the family got to Scotland.It was the third son of the Earl of Linconshire ( a title of reward for service to William), that joined Prince David and moved to Scotland when he was crowned King.
