Wm. Lipsey of NC/John Lipsie of Ireland

By genealogy.com user December 18, 1998 at 10:43:43

I am looking to straighten out some information on the line of LIPSEYs who descend from John LIPSIE (1732-1835) who fought in the Revolution, and died in Hancock Co., Illinois at the age of 103.

I have seen this line connected to that of the North Carolina LIPSEYs.John's son (if this is the correct John LIPSEY/LIPSIE) evidently married Sarah REASONOVER [I have a very informative book on the REASONOVER Family for those interested in this line].If the John from County Tyrone, Ireland *is* the father of this Wm. LIPSEY I would be very happy to correspond with those researching this lineage.

Okemos, MII know that there was a John LIPSEY who was married to an Elizabeth WEEKS in Jones Co., NC--is this the same John that died at the age of 103?
