Carl D. Livesay, 77, of Kingsport, Sullivan Co TN, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, April 7, 2009.
He was born in Eidson, TN, and baptized at Unicoi Baptist Church in Hancock County, TN.
He spent the majority of his life in Kingsport and and was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church. He was a homebuilder and enjoyed his grandchildren, farming, hunting, and being in the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Stapleton Livesay; infant son, Terry Livesay; parents, Grant and Madge Livesay; brother, George Livesay; and sister, Zelma Livesay.
Surviving are his son Randy Livesay and wife Joy; three grandchildren, Chris Livesay, Melinda Livesay and fiance’ Daniel Henard, and Brooke Livesay; two step granddaughters, Jesse Gilreath, and Jamie Watson and husband Alan; one step-great-grandson, Will Watson; three sisters, Lois Miller, Willa Dean Hurley and husband Ralph, and Vivian White and husband Marion; one brother, Tommy Livesay and wife Judy; one sister-in-law, Norma Livesay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Lynn Garden Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m., on Friday, April 10, 2009, at Lynn Garden Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Wrye and Elder Amos Bright officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at 11 a.m. in Oak Hill Memorial Park. Friends and family should meet at the gravesite by 10:45 a.m.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Livesay, Daniel Henard, Alan Watson, Fred Lane, Tracy Burton, and Todd Flanary.
Honorary pallbearers will be Conley Hurd, Kenneth Miller, Ralph Hurley, Marion White, Elmer and Blake Stapleton, Sam Fleenor, Joe Aldeen, Lawrence Flanary and all the nephews
