Albert and Talitha Frances (Adams) Lizer of Kentucky
My maternal great grandparents are Albert and Talitha Frances (Adams) Lizer. Albert was born around 1849 and died in 1917 and is buried in Battle Grove Cemetery, Cynthiana, Harrison County, Kentucky. Talitha Frances Adams is a daughter of John Wesley and Elizabeth M. (Whitaker) Adams/Addams. She was born 8 Nov 1849 near Antioch Mills, Harrison County, Kentucky and died 13 Dec 1901 and is also buried in Battle Grove Cemetery.
After Talitha Frances died Albert was married 2 more times to Matilda (last name unknown) and then Allie Goodpaster.
Supposedly Albert was orphaned as a baby or very young child. The story in the family states that his family was on their way to Kansas in a covered wagon when it was attacked by Indians. All were killed except for Albert who was later rescued and taken back to Kentucky. What we don't know is that if Albert's real name was Lizer or he took the name of his rescuers or others and became a Lizer.
Albert and Talitha had 11 children:
Edna Estell (1868-1952), married James Alexander Pray;
Elizabeth Jane/Betty (1870-1939), married Clinton S. Craig;
Albert Newton (1871-1952), married Iva Middleton;
