Hi! I am Tim Matas of Abilene, Kan. 67410 My relatives come from two townships in Fond du Lac County, Wis. The townships are Empire and Forest. That would be an area 12 miles wide and six miles high. They are all Lutheran or were and came from Kleingladenbuch, Hesse, DARMSTADT
MY family landed in the center of that described area. Moving in from the north and east was Peter Loehr. HE HAD children including another Peter Loehr. The second Peter had two sons who became priests and one a church worker but they had a large family and, as I said, they were all Catholic.
Then a John Loehr married Lizzie Schmidt, my great aunt. They had about eight kids and they were all brought up Lutheran. Those kids are all dead now but some of their kids arealive but in the 70-year-old range, for the most part. That is the group whose members are second cousins to me.
This group are people who have adult grandchildren. My family is very cress-crossed and many of these Loehrs, who are my second cousins, are also third cousins as they married into the Seibel family.
My name is Tim Matas firstname.lastname@example.org 104 S. Buckeye Abilene, Kan. 67410 785-263-0415
