Wiley,I am Melissa (Missy) Loftin.Murdock Hightower Loftin was my "PawPaw" Loftin's grandfather (is what he tells us).I dont know my Great Grandpa's name other than "PoP" Loftin or "Red".My PawPaw is Oscar Elijah Loftin,is one of 4 brothers; Doc, Clarence and Fred.I have visited Murdock's gravesite, as a matter of fact, this past year -My MawMaw (Luvenia Allen Loftin) died recently and she is buried in the same graveyard in Pleasant Hill, La.Oscar and Luvenia are my father's parents (my father is Charles(Chuck)Raymond Loftin) brother of family of six children.Raymond, Bernard, Florence, Mary, Ruth and Milly (and twins that died quite early).I have always wanted to know where we received our name Loftin.Rumors are that we were from Ireland and that we were brought over to England.Loftin was the name of the settlement in England, but I do not know that for a fact.Would love to learn more about Cynthia.Would she be my paw paw's aunt?
