Teresa Loftin daughter of Shadrack?

Several researchers show that Theresa Loftin, born Oct 1829 in Tennessee, was the daughter of Shadrack Loftin and Elizabeth (Polly) Carrigan. I have not been able to document this connection.I would appreciate any info that anyone can provide.
What I have documented is that “Terrecy” Loftin married Jesse Renfro, in Maury County, Tennessee in 1845.They had four children, all born in Tennessee.Mary born in 1847, and John born in 1848 are listed on the 1850 Maury County census with Jesse and “Therese”.It appears that Jesse died between 1853 and 1855, when Terissa married John C. Graves, most likely in Maury County or Decatur County, Tennessee.Mary Renfro born in 1846, James Renfro born in 1851 and a daughter A. Renfro, born in 1853, are listed on the 1860 Decatur County census with J. C. and “T.” Graves.John and Terissa had six children, all born in Tennessee:Frances born in 1856, Martha T. born in 1860, George born in 1865, Nancy born in 1866, Margaret born in 1869, and Ida born in 1873.John and “Terissa” were still living in Decatur County in 1870.John died between 1874 and 1880.“T.” is listed as a widow on the 1880 Decatur County census with four of her children.“Terrecy” is found on the 1900 Decatur County census living in the household of her daughter, Ida Graves Hopkins. It is not known when Terissa died. The death record of her daughter Nan Graves Roberts lists her parents as John Graves and “Creasey” Loftan.
