There is up for sale right now on eBay an early NC marriage bond, related to the wedding of William Coggin to Sarah Loftin, dated 7 September 1837. The county is not given. the other bondsman is John Loftin (typically a relative of the bride, and often her father). I cannot read the witness, though it looks to be Abm. (Abraham) Sh??well.
