Born in 1738, d. April 6, 1830. Buried inMt. Blair cemetery, Crawford County, PA.His stone reads "he served as a clerk in a regt. controled by General Wayne under the Illustrous Washington".Died in the 93rd year of hisage.
Historyof Crawford County states that he was a native of Lancaster and came to Crawford County in 1794 with his 4 sons, John, James, George and Cookson.With this info. it is probable that he (James) was a brother of Colonel Cookson LONG.
