I too am in search of Longs from Gallia county area.My ggggrandfather Joseph Long married Catherine Knapp, possibly from Gallia County OH.My GrGrGrandfather Ansel Abner Caldwell married Louisa Long-Caldwell.She was buried in Pomeroy OH.The Caldwells did live in Gallia County, thus a very definate possibility for a connection.Send me some of your family information and I will see if I can help make a connection and I will do the same.Unfortunatly, I don't have a lot of information on the Long family at this time; you could probably be of more help to me.Chrise-mail is we4butlers@yahoo.com
