I am attempting to ID some graves in a small plot on my property in Alabama. One is the grave of Major Gabriel Long who died 9 June 1843. I never associated this person with my family, but you mention a Nimrod Long. I have been to the grave of Nimrod Long in Oochee, AL with my dad.
