Title: Augusta Co records
Note: Several people have Henry Ewing moving to Kentucky from Augusta Co, VA. What documentation is available to indicate this move?

There are numerous records at the Augusta County Courthouse involving Henry Ewing (Ewin). Henry Ewing appears often in the documentation as being heavily involved in the government of Augusta CO, VA. There are also several guardians bonds for 2000 pounds dated 1795 showing Henry Ewin as parent and John Ewin as guardian for the orphans Sarah Ewin and Nancy Ewin. Several researchers have Sarah and Nancy as daughters of Henry. There is a similar bond on record for Henry listing another orphan Margaret Ewing. This documentation suggests that Henry died in 1795, not 1796 as some researchers indicate.
