LONG, MRS. C. F. (EULAH MARKS HARRIS), 10-6-1882 to 12-30-1933. Married Charles F. Long, 9-2--1909. Two children, Harris and Helen May. Survived also by husband, step mother, Mrs. A.L. Harris. Sisters, Mrs. Phoebe Winter and Mrs. Ulda Bernarc. Brothers, Bert and Ed Harris. Grandchild, Peggee Ann Long.
MISS EDYTH N. BOWERS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Bowers of near Grundy Center, and HARRIS E. LONG son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Long, were married June 15, 1932 at Rapid City, S. D. at the home of Rev. Wilkinson, pastor of the Methodist church at Rapid City.
MISS GLENNA LONG, DAUGHTER OF Mr. and Mrs Charles Long, and RUSSELL HEDGER, of Rock Rapids, were married Mar. 5, 1934. Rev. Ellsworth Woods read the single ring ceremony.
LONG, Anson, 64, died Mar. 16, 1941. Born Mar 11, 1877. Survivied by three daughters, Mrs. Golda Eichorn, Mrs. Rosie Aman, and Mrs. Fern Baker; one son, Floyd; ten grandchildren and one brother, Clint Anson. Burial in Benson Cemetery.
MISS FLORENCE LONG, dauther of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Long of Whitten, and KENNETH ST. CLAIR, son of Mr. and Mrs. William St. Clair of Conrad, were married June 9, 1937, in Parkersburg, by Rev. Bearse, former pastor of the Whitten Methodist Church.
MISS LUCILLE HOLLINGSWORTH, youngest daughter of Mr. and MRs. C. W. Hollingsworth of Bangor, amd L. L. LONG, son of Mrs. Cora Long of Whitten, were married Sept. 4, 1938 at Elk Point, S. D. at the Methodist parsonage by Rev. E.H. Jarman, pastor of the church.
MISS DAISY V. WILLIAMS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Williams of Union, and CHARLES F. LONG, of Union were married Oct. 3, 1938 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale at Nashua. Rev. William Kent read the ceremony.
CENIA SORENSON of Union and FLOYD LONG of Whitten, were married Nov. 18, 1938 at the parsonage of the First Baptist Church in Marshalltown. Rev. W. R. Yard read the single ring service.
MISS IRENE HUGHES, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Hughes of Conrad, and RAYMOND DUANE LONG, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Long of Whitten, were married Aug. 18, 1919 at the bride's apartment by Rev. F. F. Travis, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Marshalltown.
LONG, Mrs. Minnie, 81, died Dec. 5, 1941. Born near Dubuque. survived by two daughters and two sons.
LONG, Clarence K., died Dec. 12, 1943 of a tumor of the brain. Born July 20, 1902, the son of Ezra and Catherine Long. Married Miss Wilda Renbarger June 17, 1934. To them were born two sons, Herbert Allen and Ronald Ray. Besides the children he is survived by his widow, his mother and father, one brother and six sisters, Rolla Long, Mrs. E. M. Gould, Mrs. E. A. Baker, Mrs. Donald Weaver, Mrs. Glenn Buchanan, Mrs. Melvin Mitchell and Miss Charity Long. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.
LONG, Mrs. Rosaline (Rozzie) Arney, died April 21, 1944.
LONG, CORA MAY, 84, died Aug. 25, 1944. Born Oct. 8, 1860, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Waring. On July 4, 1881, married Elias Long. He died June 14, 1905. An infant son, Orlen Elias, died Mar 3, 1903. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. C. E. Barnes, Mrs. F. L. Miller, Mrs. Iva C. Larson and Mrs. E. H. Montz; four sons, Charles F., Walter W., C. Ray, and Lloyd L. Long. 19 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; one brother, Bert B. Waring and a sister, Mrs. Thos. Cowell. Three brothers and two sisters, Frank, James, Edward, Belle and Rosa preceded her in death.
GRAVES, MISS MARYLOUISE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Graves of Albion, on Aug. 1, 1943 married S/Sgt. Charles Long Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Long of Liscomb. Rev. C. W. Cleveland performed the ceremony.
LONG, MISS HELEN MAY, daughter of C. F. Long of Union, on Feb. 5, 1944 married Aviation Cadet C. William Conn, Jr. in the chapel on the base at Taft Field, Taft, California.
THIES, MISS MARIAN L., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Heny A. Thies of Iowa Falls, on Nov. 10, 1946 married Thomas Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Long of Whitten. Rev. H. H. Kirschman performed the double ring ceremony.
LONG, Fred, 71, died April 17, 1949. Born Sept. 16, 1872, one of eleven children of George and Charity Jane Long. Of the family only one, Ezra Long, survives. Married Martha Hagen Nov. 16, 1908 and they had two children, Howard Long and Mrs. Florence St. Clair and six grandchildren.
LONG, EZRA , almost 78, died April 27, 1949 at his home near Whitten. Born son of George and Charity Long, May 28, 1871. Married Katherine Crombie. surviving are the widow and seven children, Rolla, Mrs. Mildred Weaver, Charity Long, Mrs. Vera Baker, Mrs. Marie Gould, Mrs. Flossie Bachman, and Mrs. Vivian Mitchell; thirteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Burial in Benson Cemtery.
LONG, MRS. MILTON, about 65, died June 13, 1949. Born Margaret Miller daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blue Miller of Bethel Grove. Surviving are six children and two brothers, Jerry and Will Miller. Charles Long of Liscomb is brother -in-law.
LONG, MRS. WALTER W. 59, died Mar. 18, 1950 at her home near Whitten. Born Maude M. Barnes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barnes, April 3, 1890. Married at Union Nov. 28, 1907. Surviving are the widower and five children, Mrs. Vivan Vry, Theodore, Walter, and Neil Long and Mrs. Earlys Berry; her mother, Mrs. Loretta Barnes; two sisters, Mrs. M. G. Waugh and Mrs. A. G. Phillips; and eight grandchildren. Burial in Benson Cemetery.
LONG, MRS. KATE, 81, of Whitten, died Jan 6, 1953 at her home. Born July 26, 1871 the daughter of John and Jane Crombie, and was the last member of her family. Married Ezra Long 1891. Her husband died in 1948 and one son, Clarence, died in 1943. Surviving are seven children, Rolla, Charity, Mrs. Marie Gould, Mrs. Flossie Bachman, Mrs. Mildred Weaver, Mrs. Vivian Mitchell, and Mrs. Vera Baker. 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Burial in Benson Cemetery.
LONG, CHARLES H. 78, who lived near Liscomb, died Dec. 4, 1954. Born Aug. 20, 1876 in Indiana the son fo Jacob and Frances Norris Long. On Jan. 29, 1899, he married Myrtle Fiscus in Owen County, Indiana. Preceding him in death were three sisters, a brother and two grandsons. Survived by his widow and five sons and three daughters, Lee, Dennis, Harley, Marion, Charles Long Jr., Mrs. Donald Fisher, Mrs. Russell Hedger, and Mrs. Howard Phillips; 26 grandchildren; two great grandsons; three brothers, Milton, Wilson, and Elmer; and a sister, Mrs. Emery Harrington. They also reared two neices in their home, Mrs. Carl Bryngelson and Mrs. Roy Parker. Burial in Liscomb Cemetery.
LONG, C. RAY, Whitten merchant died Nov. 21, 1956. Born Jan. 21, 1889, son of Elias and Cora Long. Married Burnice Thatcher Sept. 24, 1915. Surviving are the widow, three sons and a daughter, Dwight and Duane Long, Thomas and Miss Corda Long; nine grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters, Charles, Walter, L. L. Long, Mrs. Earl Montz, Mrs. Fred Miller, Mrs. Arthur Court and Mrs. Mae Barnes.
LONG, MISS CORDA (CORDELIA ELLEN LONG) 72, died Mar. 21, 1957. Born Sept. 7, 1884 the daughter of Frank and Rosaline Arney Long at Manning. Her mother died in 1944. Since 1945 she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Harland C. Hurd. Preceeding her in death were three sisters. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Hurd and Mrs. Nola Boss. Burial at Manning.
LONG, L. L. (PETE) 66, died Aug, 4, 1957. Surviving are the widow, the former Lucille Hollingsworth; a son and daughter, Lance and Linda; several brothers and sisters, Charles, Walter, Mrs. Iva Larson, Mrs. Fred Miller, Mrs. May Barnes and Mrs. Earl Montz. Burial in Bangor.
LONG, MRS. MYRTLE, 83, died Jan. 21, 1962. Born Sept. 15, 1879 in Indiana and came to the Liscomb area after her marriage to Charles Long. He preceded her in death. Surviving are eight children, Lee, Mrs. Donald Fisher, Mrs. Glenna Hedger, Dennis, Harley, Marion, Mrs. Howard Phillips and Charles Jr.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, several neices and nephews including Mrs. Carl Bryngelson and Mrs. Roy Parker; a brother and three sisters.
