Longden family in Manchester?

Hi...
I'm trying to trace some family history for my dad's side of my family, the Longden's. He was born in Manchester in 1953 and his mother, Muriel Longden (previously Swan and previously Hayward) was born in Manchester around 1920 and his father William Henry Longden was born in Manchester around 1919. I know his mother had a brother called Stanley and a sister called Lily, their last names would have been Hayward at birth as well but I do not know if her sister married so her last name is not confirmed. His father had a few brothers and sisters, I am not sure of all of the names but I know there was a George, Mary and Bernard. Again, I do not know if Mary married so her last name is also unconfirmed.
I live in Canada and find it very difficult to trace any family history so it would be a great help if anyone had any information or knows where I can find more!
