Granddaughter of Leo E Longfield twin to LeRoy F. Longfield.
I have been working on our family tree since I was 19 so for 20 + years now.
I have many letters from my father's aunts. My father being James B. son of Leo and Ruth.

John Longfield and Sarah Hallerbush or Hollobush
Had a son named Jesse William Longfield born January 9, 1847. Died in Madison April 29, 1915
Jesse Wm. Longfield Enlisted at Plymouth, Wisconsin in the Civil War. January 16, 1864. Co. K, 3rd Regiment of the Infantry. Musterd Out July 18, 1865.
He married Mary A. Hines, born October 19, 1849
at St. Raphael's Parish, June 13, 1872
Mary A Hines died in Madison, Dane, WI January 1, 1918
Both are buried in what was the Hines lot, now the Longfield lot, Catholic Cemetary in Madison.Jesse Longfield was converted to the Catholic faith.
