I am truly sorry but I think you misunderstood my post. My Sabato's surname was Paduano; his brother was Giovanni, surname Longobardi; they shared the same mother Rosa, surname Lanzieri. The furthest I have been able to go back is Rosa, born about 1842. I haven't been able to trace Giovanni's father's name just yet, so Giovanni is actually the earliest Longobardi I have at this time (born about 1866). Giovanni was married at least 3 times. His first wife was Sofia Bace who stayed in Italy; they had at least two daughters, Anna and Guarina. His second wife was Mariannina Filippo who returned to Italy after a brief stay in the US; they had at least one son, Armando. I don't have any information on his third wife yet or whether they had any children, but Giovanni did have at least two additional sons, Jake and John. They may have been born from the first marriage or the third marriage, I really don't think they were from the second marriage. My Longobardi's all became Longobardo's after they settled in the US, although I have seen Giovanni listed as both during different times.
