Would the Hiram Longstreet who appears in the 1850 and 1855 census of Cayuga County, New York be any relationship to your Longstreet? He is listed as a nephew but don't know the exact way he fits into the Mix family.

Clarissa Mise (Mix) age 64, born Vermont
Francis Mise (Mix) age 30, male, born New York
Harriet Mise (Mix) age 27, female, born New York
Charles Mise (Mix) age 4,
Hiram Longstreet age 11,
Edwin Mise (Mix) age 12,

Francis Mix age 34, resident for 19 years (1836)
Harriet Mix age 32, resident for 32 years (1823)
Charles Mix age 9, child
Ella A. Mix age 1,
Hezekiah Mix age 75, resident of 19 years, born Conn.
Hiram Longstreet age 15, nephew, resident for 12 years

This Hiram later shows up in Michigan.
