Elinor, Rebecca Loop is not on my list of children for Andrew Loop here in Clay. Yes, I still live here. But I believe she is most likey another child of Andrew. I looked at the 1820 census for Clay, actually was Cicero in 1820, and found that a George James was the next name after Andrew's. A little more searching and I found a Gardiner and Rebecca James in the 1860 census for the town of Galien, Berrien Co. Michigan. I never have found any other Loops in this immediate area that early, so this is a pretty good bet. Try getting a death certificate maybe for Rebecca. I didn't check 1880 census, but she was apparently not living at the supposed age of 96 in the 1900 census that I checked. Being born in 1804, she was most likely the the daughter of Andrew's first wife, Susanna Beech. Let me know if you want me to do any more searching and such. - Tom
