I've found no concrete documentation for the parentage of Francis Lord Sr, but based on geography, societal position, and age I believe the most logical conclusion is that his father was John Lord of Hartford/Towcester.

I also think it's extremely likely that his mother was John's 1st wife Rebecca Bushnell. There is no concrete documentation confirming this, but what we do know is they were married 15 May 1646 and she died 8 1/2 months later 1 Feb 1646/47 at the age of 25.

My logical conclusion is she got pregnant and she died in childbirth. Maybe she got preggers immediately as they married (or maybe they jumped the gun? maybe it was a shotgun wedding so to speak?) - in any event, as I see it a son was born a bit under 9 months after marriage, either a couple weeks premature or evidence of fooling around, and she died in childbirth or very shortly thereafter. Then the child is named after her father Francis Bushnell. All of that to me fits best with John's later pattern in life, the possible life timeline for Francis Sr, and so on.

"For the John Lord Jr listed above as grandfather of my John Wesley Lord --- online sources list his wife as Elizabeth Buckingham. Is that correct? Is there documentation? Is there documentation that my ggg grandfather Henry was his son?" .... On that set of questions, I have no clue. My line comes through John Lord Jrs' brother William, and I really haven't sorted through the extended family details.
