David Worth Loring was my Grandfather's first cousin. David was born in Sumter, SC, 20 Mar 1887, son of George W. Loring and Nessfield Green. David Worth Loring married 26 Apr 1916 in Wilmington, NC, by Rev. W.M. Shaw, Viola Shaw. I am not aware of any children. David wrote a letter home on July 15, 1918 from "Somewhere in Belgium" to "My dear Old Daddy". As you said, he died in Belgium Aug. 24, 1918. There is a monument to David in the Sumter, SC, Cemetery.
