Hello Nikkollynn,
I grew up in the town of Waunakee, Wi, where one of my best friends growing up was named Greg Lovelady (born 1970). He had a little sister Nichole (or Nikki). Father Gary, wife Nancy.
Gary was a travelling salesman, gone from home quite a bit: sold everything from Kirby vacuum cleaners to Dupont chemicals. He had family in Escanaba (IN), and I believe his mother had some position with RCA records. At various points, the Lovelady's rented a place on Kennedy Lane (which was the address I visited them at). For a few years they were in Iron Mountain, Michigan, then back to the Kennedy Lane place, before moving to California maybe it was El Cerito, CA [Greg and I lost touch a bit during high school, but they would have moved either in 1987 or 88]. My last contact with Greg had him selling Kirby's with his father in 1990. For the record, there are several Greg Lovelady's out there, though I don't think either of them are him. You might try contacting one of the Nikkis or Nicholes, she would be about 30 now. One of the local boys who might be able to give you a bit of information is a carpenter by the name of Mike Drake - he was closer to Greg towards the end and stayed in the area.
Hope this helps - the only other thing of note is that Gary was probably 1/2 or 1/4 Native American - Cherokee I think.
Best,
Andrew.
