Thank you for looking up the death certificate! It serves as confirmation of the family relationship. This George W. LUCAS is indeed the son of James LUCAS (Centre Co., PA) and Lucetta BEIGHTOL. Evidently George W. LUCAS' wife knew George W. LUCAS' father's name but not that of his mother as per this report.

Therefore this certificate confirms the relationship that I suspected, that he would be the brother to Mary Ann LUCAS FYE (d. 1933 while living at the home of her daughter Margaret FYE KELLER, aka Mrs. Allen Grant KELLER, of Chapman Township, Clinton Co. PA.). I am a direct descendant of Mary Ann LUCAS FYE, and it was she that saved the original newpaper obit and would have pasted it to the picture of George W. Fye that has been passed down in the family.
