First two items for Schumann in Handbook of TX Online are regarding Guadalupe and Gillespie Co, TX.They are just a couple of counties apart.

Looks like quite a few Schumanns still in Gillespei Co, TX.Nine show up on the TX Dth Idx.When you post a query on the Gillespie Co, TX GenWeb site, ask if anyone has a county history and would they check for any possible info on Schumann family.
