British Ludden's
I read through some of the message's that were posted and read there were few currently in britain.
Like others on this site, I have too heard that there is a german/dutch/nordic influence to the namr.
My Grandfather was James Ludden from County Mayo and My Grandmother was Elizabeth Maclaughlin from County Meath. They left Ireland around 1930.
This branch of the family name now live all over, but mainly in Leicester. As far as South Africa, Australia andFuerteventura.
You may also like to know that the Bishop Ludden High School in New York has a website and that the Bishops' photograph bears a resemblance to my late Grandad.
Thank you for your time.
Thomas Ludden
