According to the 1881 Canadian Census, John LUKES was 48 and of English origin.He was married to Eunice born about 1836.Eunice, born in Ontario, was the child of Charles LONGHURST, born in England, and Martha INKERMAN and the grandchild of Joseph LONGHURST, born in England, and Sarah HOSMER, born in England.Joseph and Sarah LONGHURST came to Canada in 1832.
