According to "The 1693 Census of the Swedes on the Delaware" by Peter S. Craig, J.D.
Mans Svensson Lom, a tailor and former lieutenant, came as a free man to New Sweden in 1641 on the Kalmar Nyckel with his wife and two "almost grown up daughters" and a son. He died before 1654 when his widow signed the loyalty oath. She then married Lars Andersson Collinus, a minister's scribe. He became the stepfather of Peter Mansson Lom, Sven Mansson Lom and five Lom daughters; Margaret wife of Peter Cock, Catherine-wife of John Wheeler, Beata-wife of Rev. Lars Carlsson Locke, Christina-wife of Maten Garrettsson, Helena-wife of Michael Nilsson Lycon and Maria-wife of Johan Mattson
