Re: William Lund m. 1813 Skelton Yorkshire

I no longer believe that my ancestor George Lund was a brother of William and Robert who came to PEI in 1817, although there could be a family connection.We have learned that George was a sailor with Nelson at Trafalgar, that he jumped off a British naval ship about 1815 and went to Sackville NB because he had family there. In fact there were Lunds in Sackville as far back as 1765, who must have come up from the New England states who were the only English-speaking settlers there at that time.There have been Lunds in New England since abt 1640, and possibly movement back and forth to England especially around the time of the American Revolution.
