The origins of "Lundquist"......

I'm doing a senior research project and I would like to search under my father's surname, Lundquist. I need to know where it is originally from (I believe I've heard it's Scandonavian, particularly Sweedish) but I don't know much about my fathers family and therefor, that part of myself.
