Re: Jeter Lynch/Nannie Martin
The information I have is that they were married in the Pendleton Dist. of SC, then moved to GA.
Jeter moved to Pendleton Dist. SC in 1793 with his parents, and it's my understanding that the Martin family was already here.
William, Jeter's father, got a Revolutionary War bounty land grant in the Ooloney Valley, and they moved in while the Cherokee were still here. I live within 5 miles of the original homeplace, and have been very involved with the saving of William Lynch's grave from the bulldozer.
There is also a large Lynch family cemetery where most of Jeter's 1/2 siblings are buried.
I got very interested in the Lynch family, which is my husband's line, when the Martin and Lynch family intersected which included my uncle John Pinckney Painter.
I think that makes me and my husband about 3rd cousins.
I would appreciate very much having the information you have on Jeter and Nannie's children. Do you need anything I have?
