Hi Laura,
I have been visiting my two sons in LA so just got your message. I haven't paid too much attention to the Geneology website, but I promise to pass all of this on to my ex (a Mabray) and especially my three sons. Maybe one of them will be able to shed some light. I did remember another brother of Tom Chambers Mabray, who was born in China Spgs. Texas also. His name was Phillip Mabray. I remember my father in law talking about the origin of "Mabray". He said most dropped the "a" of the last syllable and that it was Scottish/Irish in ancestry. I'll ask the other family members if they wish to help you too. I'm afraid that this is all I know. (What I posted before for Sandy and you). My three sons names are Mark Kevin, Mel Marshall and Matthew Thomas Mabray. They are 45-37 years of age. Two have moved to LA. (These Mabrays just keep going farther and farther West, don't they?) Anyway, I'll give all of them the geneology website and postings and when they have time, I'm sure they will contact their Dad (Thomas Gayle Mabray) and their Uncle (Don Riley Mabray). Oh and also the sister (Shirley Mabray Able) They are all retired and will probably have time and interest.
Again Laura, thanks for sending me a message and keep in touch!
Lane Mabray
