MAGRUDER-McGRUTHER DNA PROJECT

My name is Kevin Magruder.I am a ggggggg-grandson of ALEXANDER MAGRUDER (1610-1677).I have posted to this site for a number of years and have been following what seems to be a never-ending discussion as to whether the MAGRUDERS are, indeed, descended from MacGREGORS.I’ve also followed many threads attempting to link the MAGRUDER and McGRUTHER families.In an attempt to empirically prove, one way or the other, once and for all, the relationship between the MAGRUDER family and that of the McGRUTHER, MacGREGOR/McGREGOR Clans, I have recently volunteered as Project Manager for the MAGRUDER-McGRUTHER SURNAME PROJECT at DNA HERITAGE (www.dnaheritage.com).

I am, with some degree of urgency, asking all male MAGRUDERS, McGRUTHERS, MacGREGORS and McGREGORS to join this Project.The data that will eventually be mined from this project will lay to rest this ongoing “controversy”.
